Colourpop is launching a Malibu Barbie collection on May 13th—celebrating Malibu Barbie’s 50th Birthday. The collection is “filled with iconic colors and California sunshine!” the brand states on Instagram. The cute pink packaging is decorated with ‘groovy’ 70s style graphics, since Malibu Barbie “was born” in 1971. Labels feature sunshine and palm trees. The collection includes: the Malibu Barbie Palette; Beach Party Super Shock Highlighter; Golden Beach Lip Duo; Dreamhouse Lip Duo; Malibu Sunset Lip Duo; Doll Lashes Faux Lashes; and the Malibu Barbie x Colourpop heart-shaped handheld mirror. Campaign photos feature the collection on the beach—complete with a pink jeep and surfboard in the scene.
